The 2023 presidency has raised a lot of tension and issues within the country. Different regions and political groups are claiming that it’s their turn to produce the next president of Nigeria.
Also, many prominent leaders in Nigeria have already declared their interest to contest for the 2023 presidency. Individuals like the national leader of APC (Bola Tinubu), The Governor of Ebonyi state (Umahi) and Anyim Pius are among the leaders that have disclosed their intention to contest for 2023 presidency.
Recently, an Ohanaeze chieftain revealed what will happen if an Igbo leader doesn’t become Buhari’s successor. Chuks Ibegbu (A former National Publicity Secretary of Ohanaeze Ndigbo) said that the southeast region will resort to its options if the region fails to produce the country’s president in 2023.
While speaking with “DAILY POST”, Ibegbu stated that the southeast has what he termed options “A, B and C” which will be resorted to if the southeast fails to produce Nigeria’s president in 2023. Ibegbu said that he will not define what he means by Option “A, B and C”.
Ibegbu further urged political stakeholders to come together and support a president from the southeast region.
